Big Picture Breakdown

12 – 18 December 2014

Throughout the course of this year, Robert Pratt has organised a small gathering of people at the end of every month. Each gathering has been held in a different location and been driven by the desire to experiment with the most basic units of human interaction. Eye contact, the expectation of 'the event', insecurity and social obligation have all been brought into question. Josh Lilley will host Big Picture Breakdown an action driven by Right Idea Wrong Machine, a collaboration between Pratt and Mark Seiltz. Informed and fueled by the gatherings, Pratt and Seiltz endeavor to breakdown recognized modes of production by creating an open platform for exchange.

Right Idea Wrong Machine will generate a soundscape made on broken-down keyboards, guitars, analogue synthesizers and amplified sounds, which will fill the space alongside paintings, objects and food.
